DAY 124 SEA DAY & DAY 116 ON CRYSTAL SERENITY

Last evening, we went to the Crystal Cove to enjoy a pre-dinner drink and we listen to Pianist Jordan Heppner play the piano.

Afterwards, we were back at the Crystal Dining Room.

We each began our meal with salads.  Keith had his standing order salad and Anne Marie had a salad that Augusto made for her.

For our entrees, Anne Marie had the Scallops and Keith had a Seafood Curry Entree that Head Waiter Augusto made for him.  As the say, it was not to hot, nor was it too light.  It was perfect.

Keith also enjoyed some white rice with the entry.  The entree included Lobster, Shrimp and White Fish.

The seas continued to be relatively calm and we fell asleep very easily.

Today, is the second of two sea days before we arrive to Rio de Janeiro.

Keith was up first and enjoyed his regular routine of exercise, followed by coffee, reading and writing.  Anne Marie got in a partial walk as we were having breakfast earlier than normal since Keith had an 8:00 AM indoor cycling class. While Keith was spinning, Anne Marie finished her walk and then she went to the Yoga Class.

Later in the morning, Keith had his hair cut by Darko while Anne Marie was in her Knitting Class.

There were three lectures on the schedule:

Ken Rees spoke about Rio which is or next port of call.  He spoke about the history as well as what to see while we are in port.

Next up was Lord and Lady Steel of Aikwood who spoke about classical and modern poetry.

The final lecture of the day was given by Jim Brigham who spoke about Living The Dream

We ended up having lunch in our room so we could catch up with lectures and also to watch the rebroadcast of the Daily Morning Show since Celebrity Chef Jon Ashton was on the show and we know how funny he can be.  Well, we were right.  He had both Gary and Stacey in stitches and us too.

Afterwards, Keith played Paddle Tennis for a couple of hours while Anne Marie walked for one hour.  It was windy outside and you never knew quite where the ball was going.  Keith hit one up in the air that looked like it would go wide left and the wind took it back in which the other team did not expect.  As usual, Keith and his tennis buddies enjoyed lots of laughs and lots of good Paddle Tennis.  We continued to catch the remaining lectures and Keith also met up with dear friend Bob and another guest while Anne Marie worked on her knitting.

Tonight is Black Tie Optional night and we are going to Silk Road with two very special people from the ship.  We will post about that tomorrow.

This evening is also the Bill Joel Concert.
