Afterwards, we had dinner at the Tastes Specialty Restaurant. Typically, we dine there once a segment, but since this segment is twenty-one days, we decided to have dinner twice at this dining venue.
When we arrived to Tastes the sun was setting and between the cloud cover and the position of the sun it brought out some very interesting colors in the sky.
We each had something orange. Keith with an orange Polo Shirt and Anne Marie with orange as one of the colors of her purse.
We were joined by Joe and Maria Kita who we have known since 2007. When we first met them, Joe was the Memoir Writer. A few years ago in addition to doing the Memoir Writing Class, Joe and Maria became the Yoga Instructor's. They teach two classes on sea days with Maria as the lead instructor and Joe assisting her. Anne Marie usually takes the second of the two classes which is known as Gentle Yoga. We have dined in various dining venues with Joe and Maria with the four of us. Keith was one of around eight passengers who was featured in an article that Joe wrote for Men's Health a couple of years ago.
Shortly after we sat down, it became dark outside and this brought out the lights on the trees and the light from the lantern like fixtures on the tables which just adds to the beauty of this dining venue.
Maria and Anne Marie were nicely coordinated and didn't plan this amongst themselves ahead of time.
As usual, we had an absolutely wonderful time with Joe and Maria enjoying not only a great conversation but also a lot of laughs. Like us, Joe and Maria have two children so we caught up on that and we have met each of their children as they had their daughter on World Cruise in 2007 and their son on World Cruise 2008. Timing was great as it was after graduation for each one.
We were taken excellent care of by waiter Deirdre and the people who assist her such as Clark. Nathan brought us our drinks and always checked up on us. Head Waiter Luigi stopped by several times to check up on us as well.
These are some of the cuisine that we enjoyed. We didn't get a photo of everything.
We also had some dessert. No calories. LOL.
We didn't make it to the show last night.
Once again, we slept very well as we sailed to our next port of call in Ambodifortotra, Madagascar. Before we left last evening the Captain said that we would only be traveling at approximately 11 knots per hour.
The seas were relatively calm.
Keith was up first and enjoyed a nice workout in the Fitness Center before going to the Crystal Fitness Center for a complete workout.
Afterwards, he went to the Crystal Cove for coffee and he also ahead out his tastings of coffee with the first job.
Anne Marie got in her one hour walk before we both watched the Daily Morning Show with Gary and Stacey. We ate our oatmeal while Gary and Stacy spoke with everyone.
Anne Marie went to the knitting class and Keith played in mixed doubles Paddle Tennis World Cruise Games. Keith also played earlier in the morning.
There were not enough women compared to men so some women who lost with a partner got to play with a different partner. Keith ended up with Carol who had lost earlier and injured her knee early on the cruise. She just asked Keith to go after any ball he could reach which he did. They ended up losing 4 to 3 but had a great time. From the start of the game they spoke to each other and said it was all about fun. And it was.
Caryn if you catch today's Blog you will see as of a few days ago Keith is now wearing sun glasses when playing Paddle Tennis as you had recommended after Stan had gotten hit in the eye. Keith wish he had worn them last month when he got hit in his eye. As they say. live and learn. LOL, but so very true.
Keith with partner Carol.
There were three lectures on the program.
Judith Fordham spoke about the father who was accused of murdering his son. Next up was Bill Toone who spoke about Madagascar. Finally, Clem Sunter spook about "How to think about the future like a fox.
Between all of these activities the morning flew by and it was time for lunch. We had lunch up at the Lido Cafe where we each had a salad entree.
Our activities for the rest of the day were similar to what we often do on a sea day. Anne Marie walked for another hour and then worked on her knitting while Keith played more Paddle Tennis and then got together with dear friend Bob.
This evening we are dining at Silk Road with two special people.
