We wanted to begin by thanking, once again, for those of you who have written to us to ask about how we each are doing from our accidents for your nice e-mails.
The good news is that Keith's eye seems to be almost 100% good. A funny thing happened on the Paddle Tennis court and more on that in a second.
Anne Marie has aches from her fall but is thankful that nothing was broken and she is healing with each passing day. She still has a fairly large black and blue mark on the front of her shoulder area and although it too is healing this was the reason she was not in a long gown for last night since it was Black Tie Optional night. As such, rather than wear a Tuxedo, Keith wore a black suit with tie.
Back to Tennis. It was quite windy yesterday which had some similarities to the day Keith was hit with the tennis ball in the eye. On one play, he was charging the net and one of the opponents hit the ball with force at Keith and normally Keith would have made an attempt to hit it, but instead he just turned and let hit it his back. He then said "are you kidding me" to the person who was on the other court when Keith got hit with the ball. Keith meant it kiddingly and laughed right after he said it.
Last night was another special evening on board Crystal Serenity and for us is indicative of why we love sailing on a Crystal Cruises World Cruise. Mind you all of the voyages we have taken with Crystal have been special, but for us the bar is raised even more on the World Cruise.

For us it began in the Crystal Cove as we listened to pianist John Mentis perform as we enjoyed a pre-dinner drink. We sat next to John so we spoke from time to time. John played a couple of special requests for us.
We then dined at Silk Road with good friends Lynn and Buddy. We first met in 2011, and since then have sailed with them each succeeding year. We have dined with them at Prego, Silk Road and even at our table in the Crystal Dining Room in prior years, but we all especially like dining together at Silk Road.
Our waiter was Anthony and was amazing.
We had a variety of sushi, sashimi along with an entree.

Keith often orders the Sashimi/Sushi for the table when we dine with others and did exactly that last night.

The evening continued with the Crystal Society Party which is held to thank everyone who is a past Crystal Cruiser and as such is part of Crystal Society. At these receptions a few fellow cruisers who have sailed a significant number of cruises with Crystal are also recognized by Alissa the Crystal Society Hostess.
Afterwards, the evening entertainment included two performances of a special performance that was created for just last evening which was a tribute to Bob Fosse. It featured song, dance and music of Bob Fosse and included not only
the dancers of the Crystal Ensemble but also the dance team of Curtis and
Beverly, World Cruise Hostess Stacey Huston and also Shane Morley who was the
former Line Captain of the Dances of the Crystal Ensemble and on this year's
world cruise is the World Cruise Events Coordinator.
The performance was wonderful and to think they created it in one week is just amazing. This team is comprised of so many professionals and throughout the performance we cheered and said Bravo. They are truly remarkable and the best.

After a fun-filled night, we both slept very well last evening as Serenity continues to sail to our next port of call in Sydney, Australia.
Keith was up first as he usually is and he started out his day with a workout at the Fitness Center. Afterwards, he had coffee at the Lido Cafe and read and wrote.
Shortly after Anne Marie woke up and had coffee, she walked for an hour before we had breakfast in our room.
Afterwards, Keith attended another indoor cycling class which was taught by Fitness Director Chase and Anne Marie attended Yoga taught by Maria with assistance from her husband Joe.
Later in the morning, Anne Marie went to knitting and Keith attended a couple of lectures.
Ken Rees about the Story of Australia and its greatest city. As usual Ken gave a great talk mixing facts, with items that we never knew along with humor.
The next speaker was Howard Fineman. We first heard Howard speak on our second cruise with Crystal Cruises which was a British Isles cruise on the Crystal Symphony in 2003 when we sailed with our son Eric, and our daughter Jennifer. Since that time we have seen him on television on a variety of shows. In today's talk, he spoke about the 2016 US Presidential Race. In 2003, he spoke about the 2004 Presidential Race. It is hard to believe that twelve years has gone by since we last saw him speak.
He is going to also give to other talks. The second one will be on President's that he has covered and then in the third talk he will discuss the "new age" media. He will also be part of the Ocean Views Panel discussion.
We also wanted to note that a total of four lectures were held. Normally, the most is three but with so many lecturers on board Serenity they also had a late afternoon talk. The two afternoon lectures were:
Sir Roger Carrick who spoke about The Real Anglo-Australian Story.
Late afternoon, Robin Oakley spoke about the US and the UK and spoke about the special relationship between the two countries.
Afterwards, we enjoyed lunch at the Lido Cafe.
After lunch Keith played Paddle Tennis for a couple of hours and Anne Marie walked outside for an hour and then she worked on her Knitting Projects. The weather was terrific and unlike the past couple of days it was not windy.
This evening we will be going to Tastes with a special guest and friend of ours.
