DAY 94 AT SEA & DAY 86 CRYSTAL SERENITY

Happy St. Patrick's Day from Crystal Serenity.

Before we begin, we just wanted to highlight the festivities that are offered on board Crystal Serenity today in celebration of St. Patrick's Day.

A special Lido Luncheon Buffet with Irish Specialties.

Two evening performances of Lord Of Dance.

An Irish Sing-Along in the Avenue Saloon from 10:00 PM to Midnight.

St. Patrick's Pub Night in the Avenue Saloon.

Green was the popular color today as during the day many guests wore something green.

Some additional photos that the ship's photographer's took of us as part of the photo package we purchased.  As part of the package, we own the copyrights.

With dear friend John at Bay Of Islands, New Zealand.

Before dinner last evening, we enjoyed a pre-dinner drink at the Avenue Saloon with dear friends John and Linda.  Of late, we've been going to the Saloon as it is quieter than the Cove making it easier to converse.

We had dinner at Silk Road with Lynn and Buddy and Rob and Jim.  We have known Lynn and Buddy for several years and have enjoyed many nice dinners with them.  They especially like joining us at Silk Road and we dined there with them last segment, only a few days after they came on board in New Zealand.  We first met Rob and Jim the first day of the World Cruise and heard a lot about them through a mutual friend before boarding the ship.  We had dinner with them at Tastes early on in the cruise.  All four of our dinner companions are just upbeat people and enjoy each day on board Crystal Serenity as well as days in port.

We had arranged for some items to be pre-ordered for dinner.  All in all it makes it easier on the wait staff and Silk Road chefs and it is fun to see what everyone thinks about some of the items.  We love the food at Silk Road but we now dine there once per segment unless like this one which is 21 days we will go twice.  We have found that by dining there infrequently we really appreciate each time we are there and it just makes it very special.

The good news is before we went to sleep that we set the clocks back by another hour.

We slept very well last evening as we always do on Serenity.

Keith was up early with the extra incentive from having set the clocks back one hour.  He worked out at the Fitness Center and then went to the Lido Cafe for coffee and to read and write.

Afterwards, Anne Marie walked for an hour inside the ship.

We had breakfast earlier than normal as Keith had an early morning indoor cycling class.  Keith is in the middle with the blue shirt.

There were several World Games on the schedule for today but none that we signed up for.

At 9:00 AM, Anne Marie took the Yoga Class and about thirty minutes after the class ended she went to the Knitting Class.

There were three lectures on the schedule in addition to several enrichment activities.

The first lectures was Tom Feranda who spoke about the next ten years of China.  Keith went to the lecture.  Interestingly enough, there was an article in the Wall Street Journal that Keith had read about a week ago that touched on some similar issues related to the challenges that China faces.  One item that the WSJ spoke about that Tom did not related to their belief about the possibility of a revolution there.

Afterwards, Roman Pryjomko spoke about Africa.  Keith watched the talk on the television when it was rebroadcasted.

In the afternoon, Judity Fordham spoke about the real CSI.

For lunch we went to the Lido Cafe, and made our salad entrees.

In the afternoon, Anne Marie walked for an hour.   Keith played Paddle Tennis.

Later on Anne Marie continued to work on her knitting projects and Keith met up with dear friend Bob and a couple of other guests.

There were four World Cruise Games today; Paddle Tennis Singles for Ladies, Table Tennis Men's Singles, Table Tennis Women's Singles and Scrabble.  Each of us used to play the Table Tennis but haven't the past couple of years.

This evening we will be having dinner and then going to the special St Patrick's Day Show.
