Our original plan last evening was to dine at the Crystal Dining Room. However, the show that we wanted to go to last evening was performed at 7:00 PM (for late seating) and 8:30 PM (for early seating) as there were other events later in the evening. We preferred not to attend the later show. While we could have asked the Crystal Dining Room waitstaff to serve us fairly quickly we really don't like to impact them nor the galley. Instead, we decided to have dinner in our room so that we would have sufficient time to make it to the early show.
We each wore green for St. Patrick's Day. Anne Marie is half Irish.

Instead of going to one of the lounges for a pre-dinner drink, we had some wine in our room.
We pre-ordered our dinner with Butler Rao.
We kept it relatively simple.
We each had salads. Keith had his standing order salad and Anne Marie had a mixed green salad..
From the Modern Cuisine Menu we had the fresh Red Emperor Fish Entree which included Lobster Barley, Tomato Syrup Rapini and Basil Foam. The Red Emperor is a very tasty fish and was enhanced with the ingredients that accompanied the fish.
The Crystal Classic Menu also included some Irish items for St. Patrick's Day. They included:
An Appetizer of Snail & Guinness Pie with Pancetta and Herbs
A St Patrick's Day Special Entree: Oven Braised Corned Beef Brisket with White Cabbage, Red Skin Potatoes, Mustard Sauce & Freshly Grated Horseradish.
A Main Course Entree of Irish Cobbler Potato Torte with Morels and Chèvre, and Port Wine Reduction.
A Main Course Entree of Pin Roasted Leg of Lamb & Shepherd's Pie with Lyonnaise Potato, Brussels Sprouts and Lamb Jus
Desserts included Irish Sticky Toffee Pudding with Caramel Sauce & Triple Caramel Ice Cream as well as another Irish dessert which was a Coffee Whiskey Trifle wit Coffee Cream, Whiskey Mousse & Vanilla Ice Cream.
There were several other items on the Classic Menu that were not related to St. Patrick's Day.
We then went to the show called the Lord Of The Dance. This show was put together on last year's World Cruise and so many of us loved it so much that they brought it back this year and the entertainment team even enhanced it with new numbers. The dance that they do is just amazing and was taught to all of the other dancers last year by line captain Dmitri. This dance is featured in the iMovie that we have on our blog that was part of POPs. It was another amazing performance.
We want to do a shout out to the amazing team of entertainers on board Serenity. In addition to all of the performances they do, they find/make the time to create these special shows that one would think have been created by a production studio on land, and then they perform them so well you would think that they have been performing them for years.
Each individual of the entertainment team is just amazing and what makes these performances so special is they do this as one cohesive team.
Last night was a wow and the Galaxy Showroom was electrified.
We also want to shout out to the Food and Beverage Department who has created superb cuisine and beverages throughout the World Cruise and yesterday was no exception.

Anne Marie finished up another knitting project. This one is a Windy City Tote.
This is the way it first looked.
The final step was to place the tote in the washing machine with hot water and then it becomes Felted (shrinks).
Before breakfast, Anne Marie walked for an hour inside the ship and then around the time she finished we had breakfast in our room while watching the Daily Morning Show hosted by Gary and Stacey. Keith called into the Morning Show to acknowledge the tremendous efforts of both the entertainment department and food & beverage for making yesterday an extraordinary day.
Once again, there was a lot on the schedule for today which was augmented with the World Games.
The lectures included:
Ed Larson who spoke about the European Discovery of Mozambique; Ken Rees who spoke about Mauritius and Reunion and Dr Donald Behnke who spoke about the Music Of Cole Porter.
Anne Marie took the Yoga Class in the morning and also went to the Knitting Class. She is now working on a couple of additional projects.
Keith participated in the Men's Basketball World Cruise Game. Poor Keith. First time he's competed in this game and left without a medal. Oh well. He still had a great time.

We also stopped by the reception desk to pick up our passports in preparation for a face-to-face inspection on the morning we arrive to Port Louis, Mauritius.
We had lunch at the Lido Cafe and as usual we made a nice salad entree.
In the afternoon, Anne Marie walked for an hour and then worked on her knitting and Keith played Paddle Tennis. It was quite hot and humid outside and sunny. Hydration outside was key. Later in the afternoon, he got together with dear friend Bob.
This evening we will be dining at Prego with a fellow World Cruiser.
