Last evening we sat at the Crystal Plaza with dear friends John and Linda.
Afterwards, we dined at the Crystal Dining Room. We plan to dine at the Dining Room over the next three days.
Some new wines arrived from Australia and we tried the Chardonnay along with a mixed Cabernet/Merlot. Ivanna our Sommelier explained each of the wines to us.
For our next course we each had salads.
For our next course, Keith had the Red Snapper which is featured below and Anne Marie had salmon.
We both slept very well as we continued to sail to Adelaide, Australia. The seas were relatively calm.
Keith was up first and got a good workout a the Fitness Center. He watched the second of the two presentations given yesterday by President & COO of Crystal Cruises Edie Rodriquez and Executive Vice President, Operations Thomas Mazloum of Crystal Cruises so he could also here the questions and answers that came up from that session.
Afterwards, he was back at the Lido Cafe where he had coffee and read and wrote.
Shortly after Anne Marie awoke she walked for an hour around the ship.
We then had breakfast in our room and then Keith went to the Salon.
We arrived to Adelaide earlier than scheduled by close to three hours.
A complimentary shuttle was provided between the cruise ship terminal and the city which is about a 30 to 40 minute drive on a Sunday. Adelaide is the capital city of South Australia and the fifth largest city in Australia. The downtown area is a wonderful place to walk as is the area near the port.
Downtown area includes a beautiful university, zoo, botanical garden, which are near the shuttle drop off.
The area near the pier which includes Marina, Restaurants and many Residential Homes.
A partial view of the Serenity.
We met several nice Aussies throughout the day who often just came up to us to chat.
We had lunch on board Crystal Serenity and we each had salad entrees.
In the afternoon, Anne Marie walked inside and Keith went to the Fitness Center and then we walked about five miles of the area at the pier including the marina, nearby neighborhoods and restaurants. Weather was a mix of Fall like weather and Summer weather.
Beautiful area.
This evening we will be back in the Crystal Dining Room.
