DAY 163 MONTE CARLO, MONACO & DAY 155 ON SERENITY

These are additional photos from the Grand Prix.

When we reached this area the entrance was about five minutes up this road.  Keith took this photo while we were walking and could not stop so it is a little out of focus.  Vendors were selling lots of merchandise some of which we specific to a particular car/sponsor.

This is a photo from the video screen which showed the car that crashed in the first race.

Before dinner last evening we sat at the Crystal Cove and we had a pre-dinner drink with Olga.  Olga is one of the women who now lives on Serenity all year round.

Afterwards, we had dinner at the Crystal Dining Room and enjoyed a very nice meal. We were joined by Cruise Director Rick.

Breaking out of our usual mode, we skipped the seafood and had the Lamb Chops.  Anne Marie enjoyed them.  Keith has not had them in many years and prefers many items without sauces so this is one of the very few entrees he has had that was not one that he really cared for.

For dessert, it was fresh berries for each of us.

We slept very well last night.  Yesterday was a great day with the Grand Prix.

We enjoyed our regular routine in the morning.

Keith was up first but about an hour later than usual.  He got in part of his workout and then had coffee at the Lido Cafe.  After bringing back some coffee for Anne Marie he finished his workout.  We had breakfast earlier than usual since Keith was getting his final haircut of the cruise and, once again, Darko was his hair stylist.

While Keith was getting his haircut after we had breakfast, Anne Marie walked for awhile and then she took a Yoga Class given by wonderful Fitness Director Leanne.  Afterwards, she worked on packing. After all, we are leaving Serenity on May 31 in Rome.

Keith returned to the Fitness Center for another workout.

We didn't go back into Monte Carlo since we have already enjoyed two of the three days visiting this area.  Like us, some people also made today a sea day.  Serenity is not scheduled to leave this area until Midnight this evening.

Once again, for lunch we dined at the Lido Cafe and we made our salad entrees.

In the afternoon, Keith played Paddle Tennis for a few hours.  The weather was very nice and with not too many people playing he played almost every game.

Anne Marie walked for an hour outside on the Promenade Deck and then she did more packing.

This evening we will be back at the Crystal Dining Room.
