These are some photos from the first segment of the World Cruise.

We originally had planned to have dinner at the Crystal Dining Room.  However, with Anne Marie not feeling well, we had the same dinner we were going to have at the Dining Room in our room thanks to our butler, Rao.

For our first course we each had the standing order salad that Keith has the Dining Room.

For our entree we had pre-ordered the Kosher Chicken.  We did this  because we didn't see a fish on the menu that appealed to us.

We then watched the Super Bowl which was broadcasted on the television in all staterooms.  At the same time guests could watch the game in the Galaxy Showroom where hot dogs, Chicken, Hamburgers and popcorn were being served.  From 9:00 PM to 12:00 Midnight, there was an event in another venue which was called Crystal's Kit Kat Club.  It was an evening of Dancing and Cabaret and included the Galaxy Orchestra, along with Vocalists Eric Strong, Jonahan Hawkins, Sarah Haye and Julia Goretsky with appearances by dance duo Curtis and Beverly and The Crystal Ensemble of Singers and Dancers.

Many guests watched the Super Bowl in the Galaxy Showroom and the number of guests rooting for each team was about evenly split  Many people were talking about the Super Bowl today, including the questionable attempt to throw for a touchdown in lieu of trying to run the football into the end zone.  The good news is that it was an exciting game.

The seas were relatively calm last night.

Keith was up first as he normally is and enjoyed a good workout at the Fitness Center.  As he always does, after his workout he went to the Lido Cafe for Coffee and to read and write.  We had breakfast in our room a little earlier than normal as Keith attended an early morning indoor cycling class.

Keith enjoyed the class and as has been the case since the World Cruise began all ten cycles were in use.

Anne Marie walked inside the ship for about 30 minutes just to get out of the room for a little while.

This is the second of four sea days before we reach Easter Island.  As such, there was lots of enrichment activities on the schedule.

This included three lectures:

Anthony Terry spoke about the Anson Circumnavigation and the Capture of the Manila Galleon.

Later in the morning, World Affairs Lecturer Stephen Cole spoke about the Tragedy of the Arabs.  This is a two part lecture and today's talk included an analysis of the Arab Spring and the results that came later.  Keith attended this lecture and he did a nice job of laying out a lot of the issues.

While Anne Marie rested in our room, Keith went down to the location we sit at in the Crystal Cove that some refer to as our office.    Several friends came by and sat with Keith including Ilene, Ed, Celeste and Elaine.

In the afternoon, Laurie Wickwire spoke about the British Crown Jewels and the symbols of the Monarchy that some of these jewels represent.

We had lunch in our room as Anne Marie is not feeling well.  We each had Salad Entrees.

In the afternoon, Keith played Paddle Tennis for a couple of hours and then met up with dear friend Bob and a couple of other guests.

Anne Marie walked for another 30 minutes just to get out of the room for a little while but manly stayed in the room as she has a bad cough.

She mostly knitted and she finished a silver evening purse and also the second of the two squares she has knitted which will be part of the blanket that the women are working on which will be donate to an orphanage in South Africa.

We plan to have dinner in the room again this evening.

TODAY'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY......

We need to look at the best in each person rather than trying to find fault."  - Keith & Anne Marie
