MANY PEOPLE TO THANK

NOTE: For those of you visiting this Blog for the very first time, the welcome post is dated November 26, 2014 and can be found towards the bottom of this page.

Before this adventure gets underway, we have many people to thank.

We wanted to begin with our cruise specialist, Gerri who is absolutely wonderful and a gem.  She and her team have been instrumental in taking excellent care of a wide range of items in preparation for our adventure.  Gerri, thank you so very much for being on top of each and every detail, for being so very responsive to all of our questions, and for knowing how to deal with each and every item that came up.  We also extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to your assistants.

We also extend our thanks to the head of the agency, Mary Jean, and the rest of her team including her concierge area that takes care of private excursions.  Mary Jean's passion for travel is unsurpassed and is very contagious and she sets a wonderful example for each member of her team to follow.

We would also like to thank Steve LeTellier, Pinnacle Travel Document Systems, for all of his help in answering our questions related to visas and passport requirements.  This is the Visa service which Crystal uses and we have used this service starting with our first World Cruise in 2007.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the countless number of individuals from the Crystal Cruises Headquarters in Los Angeles, California for all of the coordination and support they have provided leading up to the start of this adventure.  This includes Michael Vinar from Reservations, Carla Reichard and Cheryl Adams from On-Board Guest Services and so many others, too numerous to mention.

We want to extend a special "thanks" to John Stoll, Vice President of Land Programs and Port Operations, and his entire land based and on-board team who work tirelessly to create shore excursions and land based programs which are simply the best.

We also send our sincere thanks to several members of the  Crystal Serenity Team for all of their assistance as we prepared for this adventure.

You are all the best!

We also wanted to thank those of you who have given us advice as we planned tours to take while in port.  We have received several excellent recommendations.

Finally, we thank our family for their love and we thank our neighbors/friends for looking out for things for us while we are away.  We also thank all of you for the many personal e-mails many of you have sent to us.

Coming next: "Ready, Set, Go".   One final post before the start of this adventure.
