Last evening we dined at the Atrio Restaurant & Wine Bar which is located in the Conrad Hotel. It is located relatively close to our hotel. We have dined at Atrio on two other occasions in 2012 and earlier this year.
The restaurant offers wonderful views of the city, especially when it is all lit up at night, the bay and a portion of the Port of Miami. We also enjoy the ambience of the dining room as well as the service and cuisine.
For those who might like a pre-dinner drink in addition to a large lounge with a bar, you could also sit outside on a balcony with views of the Biscayne Bay and a portion of the Port Of Miami.

We like the interior look of the restaurant and we had a nice quiet table by a window. The interior is mainly in red between the carpeting, walls and table cloths and napkins.

The menu is Mediterranean with a Head Chef who is from France. Some of the waitstaff is also from France, including our waiter.
We began with a small appetizer that was a complimentary appetizer from the chef. We didn't get a photo of the appetizer but it was very tasty. It was a small piece of sausage topped with bite size pieces of vegetables and a light sauce.
We each had a greek salad which we enjoyed with traditional greek items including olives, feta cheese, and a variety of other items. We asked for the dressing on the side but we didn't even need any as the taste of the oil that was already on the salad was sufficient with the tastes of the other items that were part of the salad.
For our entree we each had the Branzino fish entree and we each had a side order of Grilled Asparagus. We were very pleased with our selection. The fish itself was very moist. It didn't come with a starch which we think was fine. The skin is very easy to remove.
We each had the Grilled Asparagus and just like at Perriocone's it was the larger sized pieces.
There is a nice selection of wine with some by the glass and others just by the bottle. We had it by the glass and the waiter opened fresh bottles for us at the table which we appreciated.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and as mentioned we love the ambience of the restaurant. Service was great, and we had a very attentive wait staff take good care of us. We do dine early so there were very few other diners.
After dinner we just walked right back to the hotel and read, wrote and caught some of the news.
We slept well last evening. All of the walking really helps too. We ended up walking 12.20 miles.
We began our morning the same way we have since arriving to Miami. Keith was up first and read and wrote before Anne Marie woke.
We enjoyed breakfast in our room as we got ready to begin our fifth full day in Miami. Yes, it was cereal and fresh berries. It is hard to believe that it is already our fifth full day here. Time does go fast when you are having fun. We talked about that last evening as well. It seems with each passing year, that the time goes faster and faster. It doesn't seem that long ago when our own children were born and now we have two grandchildren with a third almost here.
We had mentioned yesterday that normally we visit Coral Gables and/or Key Biscayne while during our visits but have just decided to pass on that this time around. The challenge when you walk to those areas is finding places to stop should you need to use the restroom so the routes we take in the downtown area are preferable, especially for Anne Marie as there are plenty of options for those stops that are required from time-to-time. While we could take other transpiration to get out to these areas we do like to walk during our visits to Miami. To change things up we do vary our routes so that we walk on different streets. There is also always something new to discover during our walks even if they are to the same areas.
We did make walk over to the Port Of Miami, once again. Three ships were in port.

We know some of you who will be boarding Serenity for the World Cruise will be staying at the Intercontinental Hotel so we took photos of one of their restaurants and bar.
They have two restaurants. This is their fancier restaurant with locations also in Washington, DC and Dubai.
In the spirit of Christmas, there is a Gingerbread House in the lobby of the Intercontinental.

On our way back to the hotel we picked up salads to have for lunch. We went back out later in the afternoon for another walk around the city and we also brought back salad entree for dinner.
This evening we will be going to another Miami Heat Basketball Game. This time Miami plays the Washington Wizards. We will post all about this tomorrow.
All in all it was another fun day for us. We made a few other stops to pick up some final items for the adventure on Serenity.
