Before dinner last evening we went to the Crystal Cove and we listened to the Pianist Scott Mitchel perform. Raymond stopping by with the first of two different canapés. This time fresh fruit.
Afterwards, we had dinner at Tastes with Food & Beverage Manager Tayfun and with Shore Excursion Manager Daniel. This has become a tradition dining with Tayfun and Daniel at Tastes. As we have done this a few times before.

We had a few other items and then we each had a dessert.
As usual, we had a wonderful time at dinner between non-stop conversation, and the wonderful cuisine, service and ambience of Tastes.
As we left Tastes, we saw a beautiful sunset.
We saw the sun completely set but didn't see the green that once in awhile one can see but it was too cloudy for that.

We slept very well as we are sailing to our next port of call.
Keith was up early as he always is as we began another day on Serenity. He worked out at the Fitness Center and then went to the Lido Cafe for coffee and to read and to write. He also did the laundry.
A short while later we enjoyed breakfast in our room and then got ready for another wonderful day.
Today is the one official sea day of this voyage although we have now picked up two other sea days because of the missed ports.
So, far we have missed four of the original ports due to the weather with one being replaced with another port and another one being replaced with a second day in Belfast.
While this does not happen often and some will say this is the most ports missed on one voyage of this duration, this reminds us of the power of Mother Nature.
Since today did mark the one official sea day of this cruise the daily program included lots of activities.
This included three lectures:
Destination Lecturer Dr. Fred Levine spoke about our upcoming stop at Portland, England.
He was followed by World Affairs Lecturer Professor Louis Beres who contrasted similarities and differences with the Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. This was focused on America's involvement in each of these wars.
The afternoon featured Photographer Neil Leifer who presented the best of Leifer which included a retrospective of his 50 years behind the camera. We have seen this presentation before so we didn't attend it, but watched it later in the afternoon on the television in our room.
A short while later we enjoyed breakfast in our room and then got ready for another wonderful day.

Keith took another Spin (indoor cycling) Class this morning and while he was in class Anne Marie walked for one hour. This time Keith was not the lone spinner as there were five guests taking today's class and there would have been more but a Father and Daughter who signed up for the class didn't attend. Tamas taught the class again and everyone worked very hard.
For lunch we went to the Trident Grill. We each had a hamburger, two hot dogs, and french fries and two beers. NOT. LOL. Just seeing who was paying attention. Rather, we had lunch at the Lido Cafe and yes, we each made ourselves salad entrees.
Keith had hoped to play Paddle Tennis this afternoon but it was too windy and there was some drizzle. We wonder if Alaska is having better weather this week and our guess is it is.
Keith ended going back to the Fitness Center for his third workout of the day and Anne Marie walked for an hour inside the ship.
Anne Marie continued to work on her needlepoint after she finished her walk while Keith watched the remaining lectures and also read and wrote.
Before dinner the Butlers will bring Canapés to the rooms they take care of but for us rather than having Canapés we share a fruit plate each afternoon as we did today after Rao came by our room with the fruit.
While we are not attending it, there is a Name That Tune contest late afternoon titled Brilliant Beatles Edition.
This evening we will return to the Crystal Dining Room for dinner, attend the Captains Reception & Crystal Society Party and the performance of Across The Pond.
