DAY 13 & BELFAST DAY 2

We enjoyed another wonderful evening on board Crystal Serenity last night.

We always look forward to each evening.  It's a time for us to socialize with others and to enjoy the service, ambience and cuisine at whichever venue we dine and the service and ambience at the lounge where we go for a pre-dinner drink.

We began the evening with a visit to the Crystal Cove where we listened to Pianist Scott Mitchel perform.  We sat with, Olga, who is one of the ladies who lives on board Serenity.  Anne Marie arrived first and without even asking they prepared the usual drinks we have which for Anne Marie is a wine spritzer and for Keith a glass of wine.

Raymond stopped by with some canapés.  On each night they will bring trays containing two different type of canapés.

Then we were off to the Japanese Specialty Restaurant, Silk Road.  We were joined for dinner by Hotel Director, Hubert.  When we arrived to Silk Road we were escorted to our table by Head Waiter Sigi and we were taken great care of by Waiter Albert.  For us dining at each of the dining venues is like dining at one's favorite restaurant at home where the restaurant staff is familiar with what we prefer.  Sometimes, they will remember something that they know we enjoy that we might have forgotten to order and that was the case last night when Sigi mentioned that Keith hadn't asked for a particular type of sashimi and they just go that extra mile to make the dinner special.

We didn't take food photos but we definitely had a nice array of food.  We began with a few Nobu specials and a couple of other items that the chef prepared for us, then had sushi and sashimi and then mushroom salads, and for our entree Lobster for Anne Marie and Hot Soba Noodles with soup and some scallops for Keith.  It is on these evening's that the workouts that we do make a difference.

After dinner there was a local show on board.

We slept very well last evening as we remained docked at Belfast.

Keith was up early as he always does and you all know the routine. He did change it up slightly though it terms of his workout.  He worked out on the Elliptical Machine and this was followed by a visit to the Lido Cafe for some coffee and to read and write.

Keith sits at his usual spot towards the back of the Cafe by the window.  This way he has an outside view which is nice when the sun rises on many of the voyages we are on .  On this voyage often it has been cloudy but nevertheless he has still enjoyed the views from this table.

Linda, you can see that your table is empty too.

Shortly after Anne Marie woke and went on her one hour work inside the ship Keith returned for a second and then third workout and by the time it was all over he had worked out for three hours and fifteen minutes on the Elliptical Machine.  This was one of those days that he could have gone for hours so he thought he would take advantage of that knowing there are some days when it is so much challenging to make it through one workout.

A short while later we enjoyed breakfast in our room thanks to Butler Rao.

We then decided to enjoy another day on Serenity rather than go into Belfast.  We made it a sports day.

We spent time in the Crystal Cove at an area that some refer to as our office and spoke with several officers and other members of the crew and some fellow guests.

We had lunch in the Lido Cafe and made Salad Entrees.

In the afternoon, Anne Marie walked for an hour outside the ship on the Promenade Deck.

Keith played Paddle Tennis for quite awhile and the weather held up with no rain.

Later in the afternoon we both me with Fitness Director Tamas for an evaluation of the arches of our feet.  This is something that has just been introduced to both Crystal Serenity and Symphony.

Keith will be taking a late afternoon spin class as well to end the day with another sports activity.

This evening we will be dining at Prego with friends David and Rocky and will post all about that tomorrow.
